Underwater seaweed fields attract tourists in Binh Dinh

Numerous local people and tourists are flocking to beaches in the Nhon Hai Peninsula commune in the central coastal province of Binh Dinh to experience community tourism services at undersea seaweed fields near Hon Kho Island, said the Mr. Do Cao Thang, Chairman of the Nhon Hai People’s Committee.

On average, about 400-600 visitors visit and experience Hon Kho Island every day; while up to 1,000-2,000 tourists flocked to the island on holidays.
According to the People’s Committee of Nhon Hai commune, the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh has approved the project to develop community tourism in Nhon Hai. Currently, the commune is continuing to develop more tourism products aimed at exploring natural values, cultural heritage, and communities in coastal villages.
Seaweed appears from May to July, creating a beautiful scene like a “golden field” under the clear blue sea. On the other hand, seaweed is also a seasonal source of income for fishermen here.
Seaweed often live clinging to coral reefs and reefs. When a plant grows long, it reaches the surface of the water. Many such plants create impressive golden seaweed beaches right on the sea surface./.
