Vietnam is ranked 15th among the world’s 20 best countries for tourists, according to the 2024 ranking compiled by the American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
From a notable destination, Vietnam has now become a destination worth visiting for international tourists.

The World’s 20 Best Countries 2024 ranking is part of the annual Readers’ Choice Awards of Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
The results are based on the evaluation of more than 575,000 readers about the travel experiences in each country, according to the criteria of culture, landscape, tourism services and infrastructure.
Readers of Condé Nast Traveler commented that Vietnam attracts tourists thanks to its rustic and charming beauty.
“With the number of foreign visitors on the rise since 2019, Vietnam is no longer a remarkable destination but a destination worth visiting,” Condé Nast Traveler affirmed.
Japan topped the list with 95.32 points. Another destination in Southeast Asia making the list is Thailand, ranked 3rd with 92.29 points.
According to data from the General Statistics Office (GSO), Vietnam welcomed more than 12.7 million international visitors in the first nine months of the year. This number exceeded the total number international visitors of 12.6 million in 2023.
The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism commented that the number of international visitors to Vietnam has grown positively with some markets fully recovering. With the current growth rate, Vietnam is anticipated to complete the target of welcoming 17-18 million international visitors in 2024./.
