The Vietnam Bakery Association (Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association) and the Saigon Professional Chefs Association on October 9 co-organized a meeting to announce information about the Vietnam Bakery Cup 2024.

This is the first international cake making contest in Vietnam, which is important not only for Vietnamese chefs but also for the food technology industry and Vietnamese culinary culture.
The contest is scheduled to take place from December 11 to 14 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. It is expected to attract about 400-500 domestic and international contestants.
According to the organizers, contestants will be professional bakers, cooks and sculptors who want to be recognized as MasterChefs by the World Chefs Association.
The contest will include Vietnamese and international judges with experience in judging domestic and international competitions.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, President of the HCM City Tourism Association, said the contest will offer opportunities for young bakers to learn and assert themselves, thereby promoting the development of the bakery industry in Vietnam.
At the event, the organizers will arrange a space to display and introduce ingredients and accessories for the bakery industry; a space for performances and competitions; and a space to serve diners.
In addition, visitors can also participate in seminars, discussions and talk shows on the topic of cakes./.
