Within the framework of the program, the three localities introduced their typical tourism products, focusing on in-depth promotion of products suitable to the tastes of Taiwanese (Chinese) tourists such as beach resort tourism, cultural tourism, cuisine, shopping, spa, MICE tourism, golf, wedding tourism and other event programs.
Mr. Vu Tien Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei (China), said that in the first five months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed nearly 530,000 tourist arrivals from Taiwan (China), up 110.1% year on year. Of which, about 45% of the tourists preferred tourist destinations in Hue, Hoi An and Da Nang.
Meanwhile, the number of Vietnamese tourists choosing Taiwan (China) as their favorite tourist destination is also increasing, he added.
Within the framework of the program, businesses in the three localities had the opportunity to approach, exchange, introduce information and offer tourism products and services to partners in the B2B space, promoting bilateral exchange between the parties.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in the first five months of 2024, the city welcomed nearly 3.78 million tourists staying overnight, a year-on-year increase of more than 22% and an increase of over 37% over the same period in 2019. Particularly, the number of tourists from Taiwan (China) to Da Nang accounts for 10.8% of the total and ranked 2nd in the top 10 international tourist markets to Da Nang in the five months ./.
