Vietnam continues to be honored as Asia’s Best Golf Destination in 2024

The event took place last weekend in Madeira, Portugal. This is the 8th consecutive time Vietnam has been honored at the World Golf Awards.

Aiming to receive this title, Vietnam had to overcome a series of other “heavyweight” candidates such as Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. 

The capital Hanoi also won the title of “The World's Best Golf City Destination in 2024.”

The award categories are the result of a year-long search for the world's favorite golf tourism brands. The vote was conducted by golf experts, the media and the public. The winner is the candidate who receives the most votes in a category.

Vietnam is considered an ideal golf destination in Asia thanks to its beautiful natural scenery and favorable tropical climate for investing in golf course development and golf tourism. The country now has about 100 18-hole golf courses in operation, of which 32 meet 5-star international standards combined with luxury resorts.

Vietnam has been voted as the Best Golf Destination in Asia eight times and the World's Best Golf Destination two times. The World Travel Awards (WTA) has chosen Vietnam as the leading golf destination in Asia for 6 consecutive years (2017 - 2022) and the world’s leading golf destination in 2019 and 2021./.
