Vietnam welcomed 1.11 million international tourists in October 2023, marking the 4th consecutive month the tourism sector received over 1 million international tourist arrivals, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
In the first 10 months of the year, the total foreign tourist arrivals to the country reached nearly 10 million.

The Republic of Korea continues to be the largest market sending tourists to Vietnam over the past 10 months with 2.9 million arrivals. Visitors from China ranked second. The number of visitors from these two markets accounts for 42% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam. They were followed by the US; Taiwan (China) and Japan.
For the ASEAN market, the top 3 markets are Thailand (392,000 arrivals); Malaysia (372,000 arrivals); and Cambodia (326,000 arrivals). Australia and India both sent 314,000 visitors to the country.
For Europe, the three largest markets sending visitors to Vietnam are England, France and Germany. Russian tourist arrivals reached 98,000.
In October 2023, most major markets enjoy growth in tourist arrivals in Vietnam. Some markets saw sharp increases such as: Denmark (up 61.7%), Switzerland (up 54.1%), Finland (up 42.8%), and Sweden (30.3%)./.
