As many as 61,600 Vietnamese tourists traveled to the country in April alone, JNTO reported. In March, the figure was 67,400, the highest-ever level in a month.

During the period, Japan welcomed 11.6 million international tourists. With the current growth momentum, the number of tourists to Japan in 2024 is expected to surpass 31.88 million, the level recorded in 2019, before the COVID-19 epidemic.

For Vietnamese tourists, the "Golden Road" journey is still chosen by numerous people when visiting the land of the rising sun. On this journey, tourists will visit three major Japanese cities: Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. The country’s massive buildings and architecture, beautiful natural landscapes, and the harmony between traditional and modern features leave great impressions on visitors.

Besides the destinations favored by Vietnamese tourists so far such as Tokyo, Kyoto or Mount Fuji, other regions of this country also possess their own beauty, promising to bring diverse experiences for international tourists.

JNTO Vietnam will launch a campaign to promote tourism in Japan in 2024 with the theme of “Japan - Local experiences, diverse discoveries”. This campaign aims to inform tourists about the diversity and richness of Japan’s destinations and travel experiences, helping tourists have more choices when visiting the country./.
