Quang Ninh sets up Labour Union for IZs

On May 19th, the Quang Ninh provincial Confederation of Labour announced a decision establishing the Quang Ninh Industrial Zones (IZs) Labour Union in Ha Long city.

The forming of the Quang Ninh IZs Labour Union aims to disseminate and mobilize workers to implement the guidelines of the Party and law policies of the State.
The Quang Ninh IZs Labour Union represents and protects the rights and legal and legitimate benefits of workers; develops Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union members; and sets up and builds strong grassroots trade unions.
At the same time, it also follows other regulations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Quang Ninh provincial Confederation of Labour.
The Quang Ninh IZs Labour Union will directly manage operations of about 30 grassroots labour unions under the Confederation of Labour of districts, towns, cities and centrally-governed branches in IZs with nearly 10,000 Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union members, and coordinate to direct seven grassroots labour unions with 854 Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union members./.
