Thua Thien - Hue calls for investment in 104 projects

Accordingly, the locality sees 104 projects calling for investment in the period, including five projects in socialization, 24 in industrial production, 35 in tourism and services, 20 in construction and infrastructure, nine in agriculture, four in education-training and health care, five in trade, and two in transport.

Notably, typical projects in tourism, industry and agriculture include Con Hen and Con Da Vien eco-tourism and recreation resorts in Hue city; Dien Loc, Phong Hai, and Bau Bang coastal ecotourism areas in Phong Dien district; Quang Cong coastal eco-tourism area in Quang Dien district; Canh Duong and Bai Ca tourism and urban area; Suoi Mo service cluster, Ham Rong coastal eco-tourism area in Phu Loc district; Ru Cha eco-tourism area in Huong Tra town; and Vinh Thanh - Vinh Xuan - Phu Dien coastal resort in Phu Vang district.

The locality also renewed measures to call on investment to intensify the socialization of investment promotion through connecting with partners of investors like banks, infrastructure enterprises and consulting firms.

Since 2017, industrial parks (IZs) in Thua Thien - Hue have lured three projects of domestic investors with a total registered capital of nearly VND1.240 trillion.

So far, IZs in the province have attracted 140 projects, capitalized with VND64.3 trillion, in which 35 are FDI projects with a registered capital of USD1.74 billion./.
