The event, hosted by the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), is the city’s biggest fair in Laos with 200 display booths by more than 100 Vietnamese exhibitors and 34 booths by 25 Lao companies.
With displayed commodities such as processed food, plastics, household products, home appliances, garments and textiles, cosmetics, footwear and interior decoration, the event aims to create opportunities for enterprises of the two sides to expand their mutually beneficial business relationship, well tap the market and increase export turnover to the Lao market.
At the fair, consumers in Savannakhet were introduced and instructed on the use of many new products of prestigious enterprises like Sai Gon Agriculture Corporation, Vissan, Coopmart, Ba Huan company, Bita’s, Thien Long, Sai Gon Plastics, Sai Gon Pharmaceutics, and REE electronics.
The organizers also arranged a private area for enterprises to meet partners, connect and exchange information to seek investment cooperation opportunities, exploit the market and open goods distribution channels in Laos.
In addition, the fair also introduced achievements of economics, politics, culture and society of HCM city in particular, as well as the image of Vietnamese country and people, and the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in general.
On July 25th, 26th and 29th, ITPC also hosted an array of activities in Champasak and Vientiane to introduce specific products of HCM city and Vietnam.
On July 29th, the centre organized a seminar on promoting investment, trade and tourism in Vientiane./.
