Economic corridor cooperation between Vietnam and China promoted

The eighth conference on economic corridor cooperation between Lao Cai, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China) opened in the northern port city of Hai Phong on November 22nd.

The event is being attended by more than 200 delegates; the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, representatives from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam Consulate General in Kunming, and leaders of the four Vietnamese localities.
The conference is among initiatives to create the premise and foundation for exchange and friendship activities and abundant cooperation among the localities in particular, and between the two countries in general, especially in economic fields.
Under the theme of “Promoting cooperation for mutual development”, the three-day event will focus on discussing the issues of transportation connectivity and logistics developmental cooperation; trade and investment cooperation; tourism, educational and health cooperation; and monetary and insurance cooperation.
At the event, Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises and associations are hoped to ink cooperative agreements on monetary finance, e-commerce and tourism.
It will also agree on cooperative contents, propose concrete directions and appropriate solutions to further intensify cooperation among the localities, and develop the economic corridor among them into a model of effective cooperation between Vietnam and China./.
