Vietnam launches first container train to China

It takes 40 hours to run from the North to South, cutting over 20 hours as before.

The train departs from Yen Vien station and arrives at Song Than station. It has a load of 650 tons and is less than 325 meters long with 22 carriages carrying 22 containers.

Goods are mainly express parcels and high-value products which need to be well preserved and transported in the shortest time.

The launch of the container train is a step by Viettel Post to tighten its logistics process, while optimizing axial transport in terms of cost and delivery time in order to improve the quality of delivery services.

With the participation of the company in container transport, logistics costs of the whole economy are expected to be significantly reduced./.
