An overall scheme for the development of transport in Dalat City until 2020, with a view to 2030, has been approved by the Lam Dong People's Council.

The scheme includes six elevated railway routes which will start from the centre of the city and provide transport to well-known tourism destinations. The total length of the six routes will be 89 kilometres.

The train route to Suoi Vang will be 8 kilometres long, while the train routes to Langbiang and Dalat-Tuyen Lam Lake will be 8 kilometres and 15 kilometres long, respectively.

A route from Dalat to the Valley of Love and Langbiang Urban Area will sprawl nearly 7 kilometres and another route to Tung Lam Crossing will be 11 kilometres in length. The last route to Lien Khuong Airport will be 28 kilometres long.

Three interprovincial railway routes received nods from the Lam Dong People's Council, including restoring the Cham Tower–Dalat route with a length of 84 kilometres and linking Ke Ga Port to Tan Rai and Gia Nghia with a total length of 248 kilometres. The third railway route will be from Gia Nghia to Dalat, measuring 150 kilometres.

The total estimate for the cost of the routes is more than VND 62 trillion.
