70 growing areas, 13 sweet potato packing facilities approved for export to China

The Plant Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on April 3 received the information from the General Department of Customs of China about the results of online inspection for sweet potato export enterprises.

Accordingly, Chinese experts conducted an online inspection for 20 packing facilities on the proposed list of Vietnam.
Through online inspection and technical exchange, Chinese experts confirmed that 13 out of 23 packing facilities meet the requirements of the Protocol on quarantine requirements for sweet potato products.
Along with the 13 packing facilities, the list of 70 sweet potato growing areas eligible for export to China has been fully posted on the website of the Department of Supervision on Animal and Plant Quarantine under the General Department of Customs of China.
The General Department of Customs requested the Plant Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to carefully conduct pre-export quarantine and guide enterprises to strictly comply with the requirements of production and processing.
Previously, on March 7 - 10, with the active coordination and support of the Plant Protection Departments and the embassies of the two countries, a delegation of Chinese experts conducted an online inspection for sweet potato export enterprises for approval to export to China./.
