Annual Economic Forum 2024 held in Can Tho

Overview of the forum

According to the organizers, the forum, themed “Diversifying investment capital sources to develop Can Tho quickly and sustainably”, expects to identify bottlenecks in the investment and business environment of the Mekong Delta city from the perspective of experts, businesses and state management agencies.

Through the forum, participants hoped to find short-term and long-term solutions to promptly and effectively remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses, as well as propose solutions to attract investment and effectively implement projects in the city.

The forum had keynote speeches and roundtable discussions with key issues to find solutions in diversifying capital sources through attracting investment from non-budget sources and attracting FDI to develop Can Tho city quickly and sustainably.

In his speech at the forum, Chairman of the Can Tho People’s Committee Tran Viet Truong said that Can Tho has much potential and advantages in attracting investment. However, in recent times, the city has not exploited these advantages well in attracting investment sources, especially non-budget sources and FDI capital.
