(CPV) – The northern province of Bac Ninh attracted over 4.2 billion USD of FDI capital in the first nine months this year, continuing to lead the country in FDI attraction.
According to statistics of the Bac Ninh Department of Planning and Investment, since the beginning of the year, the province has attracted 339 projects with newly-registered FDI capital, an increase of 75 projects, a year-on-year rise of 28.4%. Newly-registered capital reached more than 1.56 billion USD, a year-on-year rise of 82.2%.
Majority of investors came from China with 218 projects. Following it was Hong Kong (China) with 37 projects and Singapore, 36 projects.

In the nine months, Bac Ninh saw 147 ongoing projects increase their capital by more than 2.68 billion USD.
In September alone, Bac Ninh granted new investment registration to nine projects with a total registered capital of 57.8 million USD; of which one project was invested by Singapore into real estate business with registered capital of 44.7 million USD. So far, Bac Ninh has had 2,412 FDI projects in effect with a total licensed capital of nearly 29.3 billion USD.
Over the past nine months, the northern province lured more than 4.2 million USD, continuing to lead the country in FDI attraction. With an open investment environment, modern infrastructure, and large local and immigrant labor force, Bac Ninh has been affirming its position as an attractive destination for investors.
The wave of investment from major countries in Asia such as Japan and the Republic of Korea in the fields of software and semiconductor industries has further affirmed the significant changes in quality of FDI capital attraction into Bac Ninh./.
