Bac Ninh's industrial production show improvements in 10 months

In the first ten months of 2024, the industrial production index (IPI) of the northern province of Bac Ninh rose by 5.28% over the same period last year, the third highest rise in the past five years.

Specifically, the manufacturing and processing industry increased by 5.2%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning rose by 11.66% and the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry surged by 24.66%.

Local enterprises believe that the socio-economic situation in the fourth quarter of 2024 will improve more positively than the previous three quarters.

Of these, 39.1% of enterprises assessed that the trend will be better than the third quarter; 18.9% predicted more difficulties and 42% of enterprises said that the production and business situation will be stable.

In terms of composition, state-owned enterprises are most optimistic with 42.9% predicting that the production and business situation in the fourth quarter will be better than in the third quarter; this rate in the non-state enterprise sector is 37.5% and the foreign-invested enterprises sector is 40.2%.

Enterprises in the province are also focusing all resources, accelerating production to complete orders and goals and plans set for the year.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan informed that from October 2024, the province launched a program to meet businesses and entrepreneurs on the 13th of every month, to listen, share and remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses./.
