At the conference, the delegates said that Islamic people make up the majority in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and other Middle Eastern countries.

However, only a few countries produce Halal products, and now the demand for Halal products has increased sharply not only due to the increase in the number of Islamism but also because many non-Muslims still prefer Halal products.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan, Deputy Director of ITPC, said that strict requirements of Halal products are not a small challenge for businesses in countries that do not follow or the number of people who follow Islam is very small. Therefore, the Islamism-friendly standard will be a new door for businesses looking to enter the potential markets.

Aiming to create conditions for businesses to take advantage of this opportunity, experts have provided necessary content and information about products suitable to the needs of Islamic markets for Vietnamese businesses to expand their markets.; help them identify criteria to achieve certification of products that are friendly to Islamism countries.

Accordingly, in order to achieve the certificate of eco-friendly products, products must meet standards such as environmentally friendly products, products that follow sustainable trends, and are recyclable.

From 2020, ITPC cooperates with Vietnam Halal Center and related units to organize many training sessions to provide cultural and economic knowledge, especially programs related to Halal content.

In particular, the Halal Executive Program has provided full information on Halal product standards for 20 businesses in the southern city to expand exports to Islamic markets./.
