In 2022, Vietnamese passion fruit products are exported to China under temporary regulations. Next, durian and bananas are permitted to be exported through the signing of the Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements between the two countries.

Recently, the two sides signed a Protocol on phytosanitary requirements for Vietnamese sweet potatoes imported into China. Vietnam’s lemons and grapefruits are also permitted to be imported into the New Zealand market after the import conditions were signed by the two sides on November 15.

On November 18, 2022, the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) also announced that Vietnam’s fresh longan fruit was permitted to be imported into the market.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will organize events to export the first shipments of the above products, and at the same time organize training and guidance for localities and related parties about regulations of China, New Zealand and Japan on import requirements for sweet potatoes, lemons, grapefruit and longans./.
