The explosion, maintenance and development of platforms such as Shopee, Tiktok Shop, Lazada, and Tiki along with the development of support services such as logistics, electronic payments and digital marketing in Ho Chi Minh City have created the most vibrant e-commerce ecosystem in the country.

The city also has an advanced technological infrastructure, with the highest number of internet subscribers in the country, a high rate of smartphone usage and a strongly developed telecommunications network. This creates favorable conditions for consumers to access e-commerce and for businesses to carry out online business activities.

Regarding the e-commerce development plan in the near future, the Department of Industry and Trade said that the city will focus on four key tasks of strengthening state management on e-commerce; implementing solutions to support e-commerce development; investing in and upgrading information technology and logistics infrastructure systems and promoting and raising awareness of businesses on e-commerce trends to expand the market./.
