The project focuses on planning a comprehensive, sustainable and safe tourism strategy with distinct values. It will focus on affirming the potential and position of Quy Nhon in the domestic market, and at the same time building solutions to make Quy Nhon a leading destination in Asia.

Mr. Ngo Hoang Nam, Chairman of the Quy Nhon People’s Committee, said that the agreement is considered one of the key tasks to realize the vision and goals for tourism development, one of the five pillars of socio-economic growth.

At the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet said that over the past years, Vietnam’s tourism has won renown among prestigious and world-renowned organizations, including the World Travel Awards as a typical destination in Asia and the world. Vietnam has been voted as the world’s Top heritage destination for 2 consecutive years, Asia’s Leading Destination for 3 consecutive years (2019 - 2021), and Asia’s Best Golf Destination for 4 consecutive years (2018 - 2021).

For Binh Dinh, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet believes that with the potential and advantages of the locality and the investment presence of many large and reputable tourism and resort businesses, the locality will soon become a leading destination for tourists.

He highly appreciated the contributions of businesses to Vietnam’s tourism achievements and said that the driving force for the development of tourism in the coming time is investment, especially the cooperation of investors and tourism businesses, such as the signing ceremony between Quy Nhon City and large corporations and businesses.

Quy Nhon city, located in the southeast of the province of Binh Dinh, is recognized as one of the three tourism hubs of Vietnam’s south central coastal region, along with Da Nang and Nha Trang.

The city is blessed with a 42km coastline, diverse topography comprising mountains, forests, salt marshes, plains, lagoons, lakes, rivers, peninsulas and islands, and abundant seafood and natural resources./.
