The organizers of the second Krong Pac Durian Festival on August 22 held a press conference to announce activities scheduled for the festival.

The second Krong Pac Durian Festival, themed “Integration and Development”, will be held from August 31 to September 2.
The festival will include 12 events such as a competition for good durian farmers, a fair to introduce potential local OCOP and agricultural products, durian experience at gardens and visit to the ancient durian tree, a workshop to build and develop a sustainable durian ecosystem, cross-country running tournament for community health; a street festival, DJ night and light dance for artistic exchange between clubs and art groups; flag saluting ceremony, Ao dai performance and ethnic costumes and Artistic fireworks show.
Notably, during this festival, there will be an auction for the title of “Durian Queen”. The winner will receive the “Queen” durian and also be given a gold-plated durian for display and souvenir.
“The district will use all the money from the auction to serve social security work for the people,” Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Trinh, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Krong Pac district, said at the press conference.
In addition, there will be more experiential tourism activities at this Durian Festival, with a series of journeys from Buon Ma Thuot city to Krong Pac with the first destination being CaDa Plantation.
The Second Krong Pac Durian Festival is an opportunity for the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak and Krong Pac district to promote and introduce the brand and quality of Dak Lak durian in general, Krong Pac durian in particular; stimulate demand, search for and expand consumption markets; and orient the clean and sustainable production of durian./.
