US photographer Larry D’ Attilito will introduce his book titled “The Soul of Vietnam”, a beautiful, poignant, humorous and delightful capturing of the life of the Vietnamese, at an event on November 20th in Ly Quoc Su street, Hanoi.
The book is written in English and Vietnamese and presents 150 images arranged thematically into chapters including landscapes, contemporary life, humour, tradition, and a myriad of moments that express Mr. D’Attilio’s feelings and viewpoints on a changing country of boundless energy.
Larry D’Attilio full name Lawrence D’Attilio), a New York artist living in Los Angeles, California, came to Vietnam 10 years ago and fell in love with the country.
He states, “I had no intention of creating a journalistic view of the country, instead I wanted to describe the people, country and culture from my subjective understanding.”
Lawrence’s ten years of experience living and photographing in Vietnam has given him a deep perspective on the country and its people. Vietnam offers unique and challenging adventures, and many opportunities for ground-breaking images.
