Delegates at the ongoing 44th Executive Board Meeting of the Organisation of Asia-Pacific News Agency (OANA) have been impressed by the reform and development of Hanoi capital city.

Hosted by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) during April 18th-20th, the meeting is under the theme “For a professional and innovative journalism” and has attracted a large number of journalists from major news agencies worldwide.
The VNA has deployed dozens of reporters and technicians to the event to cover the latest news regarding the meeting.
Deputy General Director of the Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP) Keo Chandara hailed the VNA’s thorough preparations for the meeting, saying that he is impressed by Hanoi’s development and the friendliness of local to foreign visitors.
He wished that Hanoi and Vietnam would continue to thrive in the future.
Executive Director of the Emirates News Agency Mohamed Alrayssi said he is especially impressed by the beauty and warm hospitality of Hanoi. He wished for further cooperation opportunities with the VNA and other news agencies to popularise the capital city and other destinations in Vietnam.
OANA Secretary General Vugar Seidov said that on his way from the airport to downtown Hanoi, he saw the city’s breakthrough development. He described Vietnam as a rapidly-growing country, in which the VNA plays an important role.
Founded in Bangkok, Thailand on December 22nd (UNESCO), the OANA is comprised of 44 member news agencies from 35 regional countries, providing two-thirds of news coverage globally. Everyday, member news agencies publish nearly 200 news, photos, and videos on the OANA website.
The OANA holds a triennial General Assembly to elect an executive board with 13 member news agencies. The VNA is currently a member of the board for the 2016-2019 tenure, while Azerbaijan State News Agency (Azertac) serves as OANA Chair./.
