China’s SCMP has selected Cat Cat village in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai as one of the 7 most beautiful villages to visit after COVID-19.
Cat Cat is a place with surprising and impressive beauty. This is a village located in Muong Hoa valley, where there are stretches of terraced fields, the simple wooden houses of ethnic minorities, and the image of water-driven rice pounders.
From the center of Sa Pa town, visitors will move about 30 minutes to reach Cat Cat village. Tickets to visit here are VND70,000.
Cat Cat village has always been a "must visit" place whenever traveling to Sapa. Cat Cat village is located in San Sa Ho commune, Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province. This is a H’Mong ethnic village formed in the 19th century.
Nearly 80 households in the village are mostly located along the stone pathway in the middle of the village where 3 streams meet to form Cat Cat Waterfall. Beside the waterfall are Si and A Lu bridges, which attract lots of tourists to take photos.
Apart from Cat Cat, SCMP also introduced some villages in Thailand, China, Norway, the UK, the US and Kenya./.
