In the article titled "The Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975: Ending the Vietnam War and ushering in the unification of the country", the author described the moment when the South was completely liberated, in which the image of the last Chinook helicopter taking off from the rooftop of the US Embassy symbolized the end of the Vietnam War for the American imperialists.
According to the article, the victory on April 30 shocked the world and was America's most disastrous defeat.
Emphasizing that the April 30 Victory is a continuation of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954, the article highlighted the role of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap in the nation's fight against foreign invaders.
At the end of the article, the author quoted the description of French war correspondent Jean Lartéguy, who witnessed the moment when the South was completely liberated: "At exactly 12:15 a.m. on April 30, 1975, the liberation flag flew on the roof of the Independence Palace in Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City).”
In the article, the electronic website Acercandonos Cultura also attached a video summarizing the process of ending the resistance war against the US of the Vietnamese people and the South being completely liberated./.
