Before the visit, the European press focused on assessing the role and position of Vietnam as a bridge in EU-ASEAN relations, specifically the electronic newspaper of the Association of Foreign Journalists in France (APE) Trilogue News on December 7 published the article "The trip of the Prime Minister of Vietnam to Europe: Establishing Bridges. The article appreciated Vietnam's economic growth in 2022, emphasizing the leadership role of the head of the Government of Vietnam in effectively exploiting the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) to promote Vietnam-EU trade relations; and higlighted that Vietnam has an important position in ASEAN-EU connectivity, promoting multilateralism, and respecting international law in the region.
The Dutch Diplomat magazine on December 7 published an article "Vietnam-Netherlands: Signals of a comprehensive partnership" evaluating Vietnam and the Netherlands as important for promoting EU-ASEAN relations.
The Waj.world website of the World Association of Journalists in Austria on December 7 published the article "Vietnam's role in promoting EU-ASEAN relations", noting that Vietnam creates a solid foundation for the ASEAN-EU relationship.
As soon as the Prime Minister arrived in Luxembourg, the European press continued to publish a series of articles praising Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements, including cooperation results between Vietnam and EU countries. Many newspapers also closely followed and commented on each activity of the Prime Minister's delegation at events in Europe. The Online newspaper Chronicle on December 8 published the article "Vietnam - Luxembourg: New perspectives of cooperation" appreciating the results achieved in the Luxembourg-Vietnam cooperation relationship, especially Luxembourg's support for Vietnam at international and regional multilateral forums; believed that bilateral cooperation has more potential for further development, especially in the field of economy and trade.
Right after the Prime Minister finished his visit to Luxembourg, this newspaper on December 12 continued with an article "European Investment Bank (EIB), Vietnam signs a cooperation agreement on decarbonization in the power sector", highly appreciated the Agreement on decarbonization cooperation in the power sector between EIB and Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) during the visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. This is a new driving force to promote cooperation between the two countries to achieve the goals of zero emissions and climate change adaptation.
The startup and innovation page in the Netherlands (Innovation Origin) on December 11 published an article "Vietnam is ready for the development of Brainport in Hanoi" reporting on the visit to the Brainport Hi-Tech Park (Netherlands) of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and high-ranking Vietnamese leaders; considered the visit to Brainport Hi-Tech Park by the high-ranking delegation of the Government of Vietnam a great opportunity to connect stakeholders to promote cooperation; and expressed optimism about the prospects and potential of high-tech cooperation between the two countries, including the construction of the Brainport Hanoi Center.
The Swiss newspaper "Peace" (La Paix) on December 7 published an article "Vietnam after the COVID-19 pandemic" emphasizing that under the direction of the Government, Vietnam has made an impressive recovery after COVID-19. Vietnam is considered by the United Nations and the international community as a successful example in the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (SDGs).
Within the framework of the EU-ASEAN Summit in Brussels (Belgium), the newspaper "The City of the Future" (La Citta Futura) on December 10 published an article "Vietnam - an important bridge in EU-ASEAN strategic cooperation" reported that the leaders of 9 ASEAN countries, including Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, attended the EU-ASEAN Summit in Brussels, Belgium; assessed that EU-ASEAN relations have made positive progress in recent years, especially in the field of economy and trade; and noted Vietnam's "bridge" role in multilateral and inter-regional cooperation.
ScandAsia online newspaper specializing in political and economic information in Asia in Sweden on December 11 published the article "Vietnamese Prime Minister attends ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit" highly appreciating that Vietnam always actively contributes to the activities and common framework of ASEAN and the international community, especially when the world situation has become complicated and unpredictable in recent times./.
