Major Lao press agencies such as Pasaxon (People's Newspaper) - the mouthpiece of the Central Lao People's Revolutionary Party; PathetLao-Laos News Agency (KPL); and the Lao National Radio published articles praising the Dien Bien Phu victory that “resounded across the five continents and shook the globe”.

On front pages of Pasaxon, Pathetlao and the Lao National Radio's electronic newspaper, articles "Lao People's Army contributes to coordination in the Dien Bien Phu campaign"; "The Dien Bien Phu victory strongly promotes the national liberation movement towards the establishment of the Lao People's Democratic Republic", and "Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory" were published.

The article in Pasaxon newspaper read that the Dien Bien Phu victory is not only a victory for the Vietnamese people but also a victory for the people of Laos and Cambodia, who joined together to fight against the common enemy to liberate our people. The Dien Bien Phu victory extinguished the invasion intentions of old-style colonialism, forcing the French colonialists to sign the Geneva Agreement in 1954, restoring peace in Indochina, recognizing the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the three Indochina countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

All articles commented that the victory at Dien Bien Phu was the most glorious victory in the history of the struggle against foreign invaders by the Vietnamese army and people; is a victory based on the spirit of solidarity, fighting together against foreign invaders, smashing the colonial system of imperialism; and that it clearly demonstrated the truth about the heroic fighting spirit of a small country against a large country with a powerful economy with military and modern weapons.

The Lao National Radio and National Television also broadcast many news, articles and interviews about the Dien Bien Phu victory, affirming that the Dien Bien Phu victory was not only the pride of the Vietnamese army and people, but also the pride of countries on the Indochina Peninsula and of all peace-loving peoples in the world.

In addition, the Dien Bien Phu victory pointed out noble lessons from the guiding theory and ingenious leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, offering practical lessons for the Lao revolution to apply in practice. The economy moved towards completely liberating the country, establishing today's Lao People's Democratic Republic./.
