Lao press boldly covers visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue

Major Lao newspapers such as Pasaxon, PathetLao Daily, Vientiane May and Vientiane Times in recent days have solemnly published on the front page news, photos and articles about the visit of Vietnam National Assembly President Vuong Dinh Hue and its significance to the relations between the two countries.

Lao press highlights Lao NA Chairman’s visit to Vietnam

Lao's Pasaxon newspaper features activities of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. 

The most prestigious newspapers of Laos, PathetLao Daily and Pasaxon, ran editorials titled "The visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue demonstrates political respect and special trust of the Party and State of Vietnam towards Laos" and "Lao-Vietnamese relations are getting deeper and deeper".

The articles emphasized that this visit not only affirms the consistent foreign policy of the two countries, especially attaching importance to preserving and constantly developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos-Vietnam and Vietnam-Laos, but also shows the special nature of the relationship between the two countries, showing the efforts of the two Parties and two states in maintaining the development momentum for bilateral relations.

The visit will certainly help to consolidate and deepen the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two parliaments in particular and Vietnam-Laos relations in general, said PathetLao Daily.

In addition, the above newspaper also published an interview with Lao National Assembly Chairman Xaysomphone Phomvihane entitled "The two National Assemblies of Laos and Vietnam hold many activities to celebrate the Year of Solidarity and Friendship" and an interview with Minister of Planning and Investment of Laos Khamjane Vongphongsy entitled "Laos-Vietnam cooperation has been strengthened and developed continuously in many fields".

The articles affirmed that in the coming time, the Lao National Assembly will cooperate and coordinate closely with the National Assembly of Vietnam in promoting the rare and special relationship between the two countries more; closely coordinate at regional and international forums for peace, friendship and cooperation; and cooperate with Vietnamese comrades to improve the efficiency of bilateral cooperation.

Major Lao newspapers also published a series of news, articles and photos detailing the activities of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam during the official visit, from the welcome ceremony at the airport, to the official welcome ceremony at the Lao National Assembly House, to the meeting between the two Presidents of the National Assembly, sharing experiences in socio-economic recovery and development after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The titles of the articles confirm that the relationship between the two National Assembly of Vietnam and Laos is increasingly consolidated and strengthened in both width and depth.

Lao newspapers also solemnly published on the front pages that the Presidents of the two countries' National Assembly attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Park in Vientiane.

Lao press also has many articles about National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue’s greeting to Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, and working with leaders of ministries and sectors of Laos.

Lao radio and television channels in recent days have also spent a lot of time reporting on the significance of the visit and activities of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the Vietnamese delegation.

All of them affirmed that the visit not only contributes to strengthening relations between the two National Assemblies, but also contributes to strengthening and tightening the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam./.
