The workshop was organized by the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularization and Education in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Morocco and the Agency of the High Commission of the Former Resistance War and Former Members of the Moroccan Liberation Army, during a working visit to Morocco by a delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularization and Education.
The workshop attracted the participation of many scholars and researchers on Vietnam in Morocco, along with a large number of international friends and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Morocco.
In his presentation on the topic "President Ho Chi Minh and the history of Vietnam's relations with African countries, especially Morocco", Prof. Abdallah Saaf, Director of Morocco's Center for Social Science Research, emphasized President Ho Chi Minh is the symbol of the struggle of small nations against colonialism and imperialist aggression.
Prof. Saaf affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh realized only the strength of national solidarity combined with international solidarity could create the synergy necessary for the success of the Vietnamese revolution. The struggle of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh contributed greatly to the national liberation movement in the 20th century in many countries. In addition to providing political support and showing solidarity in the struggles for self-determination and national independence around the world, Vietnam also supported many liberation forces in Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America by sharing experiences and training leaders.
High Commissioner of the Former Resistance War and Former member of the Moroccan Liberation Army, Mr. Mustapha El Ktiri praised the greatness of President Ho Chi Minh and said it was undeniable that Vietnam's Dien Bien Phu Victory led by President Ho Chi Minh had a positive influence on national liberation movements in Africa, marking the beginning of liberation from Western colonial oppression.
Speaking in conclusion, Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed the significance of the workshop taking place on the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. He emphasized the merits and great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh for the cause of national liberation of Vietnam and the people of oppressed peoples in the world, as well as the Vietnam- Morocco friendship relationship which was laid by President Ho Chi Minh./.
