Pathetlao Daily, the mouthpiece of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), published a front page article titled “Outcomes of the Vietnamese President's official friendly visit to the Lao PDR”. The article affirmed that the visit has made an important contribution to strengthening and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.

The article also reviewed the talks between the two top leaders, during which they affirmed they would continue developing the bilateral relations in a deeper and more effective and substantive manner, and agreed to designate 2022 as “Year of Vietnam – Laos Solidarity and Friendship” to celebrate the 60th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and the 45th anniversary of the signing of Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.
On this occasion, the two sides signed and exchanged 14 cooperation documents between the ministries, branches and enterprises of the two countries in the fields of defense, security, drug prevention, search and rescue, and electricity trading, exploration and processing of minerals.
Within the framework of the visit, many meetings and working sessions took place between ministries, departments and agencies of Vietnam and Laos, and the two sides agreed on many important issues on cooperation, investment and mutual assistance. Accordingly, Vietnam and Laos agreed to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure connectivity, tourism and energy, creating conditions for the development of the countries as well as connection to the wider region in the future.
Along with the visit’s outcomes, the Lao press also published many articles about the handover of the new Lao National Assembly House - a gift from the Party, State and people of Vietnam to the Lao side, and President Nguyen Xuan Phuc's attendance and speech at the Lao National Assembly.
During the handover ceremony, Lao Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith, on behalf of the Lao Party, State and people, thanked the Party, State and people of Vietnam for the precious gift, affirming that the relationship between the two countries will develop more and more deeply and effectively.
The front page of Pathetlao Daily also ran an article "Congratulations on the successful official friendship visit to Laos by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam".
According to the article, this is the first foreign visit of Nguyen Xuan Phuc as State President, demonstrating the respect of the Party, State and people of Vietnam to the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Laos; and being a source of encouragement for Laos in dealing with the current difficulties.
Some other Lao newspapers such as Lao Economic Daily, Socio-Economic News, Lao National Television, Lao National Radio, and Lao electronic newspapers also published many articles and some projects that Vietnam gave to Laos, including the School of Political Theory worth VND301 billion, as well as many reportages and articles on Vietnam - Laos relations, and on the economic and social development of Vietnam./.
