On November 4 and 5, Swiftnews and the website of the Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) published an in-depth article by Uch Leang, deputy head of the Department of Asian, African and Middle Eastern Studies under the RAC’s Institute of International Relations, featuring the Vietnamese leader’s visit.

According to Mr. Uch Leang, in the year Cambodia holds the rotating ASEAN Chairmanship, Vietnam congratulates Cambodia on successfully organizing ASEAN meetings in the past time and continues to support Cambodia in organizing the 40-41st ASEAN Summit and the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary General Assembly in November 2023.
Within the framework of the regional organization, Vietnam continues to make contributions to building the ASEAN Community, as well as enhancing Cambodia's prestige and position in the international arena. Meanwhile, Cambodia has supported Vietnam's second election to the United Nations Human Rights Council for the term 2023-2025.
Other local media outlets such as the national news agency Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP), Rasmei Kampuchea, Khmer Times and DAPnews, and websites, also gave space to the visit.
Most of the news reports of the Cambodian press highlighted in detail the visit of the Vietnamese Prime Minister, which takes place in the context that the two countries are celebrating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Year.
Within the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit, besides the meetings and talks with the Cambodian King and leaders, the two countries are expected to sign a number of bilateral cooperation documents.
Previously, the image and information about Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia was published by the National Television of Cambodia (TVK) on its broadcasting platforms since October 31.
On November 3, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will pay an official visit to Cambodia from November 8-9 and attend the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and related summits from November 10-13.
The PM’s visit and attendance of the events will be made at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister and Chair of ASEAN 2022 Samdech Techo Hun Sen./.
