Quang Binh sees four tourist destinations introduced on Lonely Planet

The Quang Binh Department of Tourism on July 9 said that four out of six tourist destinations in the central coastal province were introduced on the world’s largest travel magazine - Lonely Planet.

The four tourist destinations include Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, a World Natural Heritage with a magnificent cave system and rich biodiversity; Son Doong Cave, the world’s largest cave where you can explore majestic and mysterious natural scenery; Tu Lan Cave system, a great adventure experience with underground streams and unique cave system and Thien Duong Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in the world with unique stalactites and stalagmites.

According to the Quang Binh Department of Tourism, with the oldest karst mountain system in Asia, hundreds of majestic and magnificent caves, and a magical underground river system of outstanding global value, Phong Nha-Ke Bang is a place adventurers always look forward to.

This is the first time Quang Binh has achieved this result and also the first time a locality in Vietnam has four must-see spots on Lonely Planet.

The recognition by the world’s leading travel magazine Lonely Planet continues to affirm Quang Binh’s position as an attractive destination on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.

Previously, in 2017, Lonely Planet also ranked Phong Nha-Ke Bang as one of the two most experienced destinations in Vietnam according to visitors’ votes. The magazine also ranked Son Doong Cave at number 3 in the category “Dreamful destinations in the world”./.
