Romanian politician’s book introduces Vietnam

The book titled "A Miracle Vietnam" by Dr. Pavel Suian published recently in Romania helps readers have an overview of Vietnam and is regarded as a valuable resource for those interested in Vietnam in the country.

According to Dr. Suian, a politician and retired university professor, he wrote this book to show his admiration for Vietnam's history and culture, as well as his profound respect for the revolutionary heroism and the bravery of the Vietnamese people during the struggle for national liberation.

He expected that through the book, Romanian friends and people around the world will have a better understanding of Vietnam and its people.

The book with 566 pages in the Romanian language has 11 chapters. It provides basic information and in-depth analysis related to the land, people, history and cultural values of Vietnam, victories of the Vietnamese army and people in the past as well as their great successes in socio-economic development, politics, diplomacy and international integration today.

The writer also highlights the achievements of Vietnam's clever and flexible foreign policy in maintaining and developing relationships with major partners such as the US, China, Japan, Russia, and France, and neighbouring countries like Cambodia and Laos, thus contributing to ensuring political and social stability and making breakthroughs in economic development.

He expresses his support for and highly appreciated Vietnam's viewpoint on resolving disputes and differences through peaceful measures, based on international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

The book also emphasizes the ample evidence and legal basis that Vietnam possesses regarding its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, as well as the necessary role of the international community in ensuring maritime safety and freedom in the region./.
