Two Vietnamese citizens honoured by Japan

The Government of Japan has just announced the list of individuals awarded the Order of the Rising Sun in the fall of 2023, said the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam.

Two Vietnamese citizens are awarded Orders by the Japanese Government for their great contributions to strengthening the close relationship and friendship between the two countries. These are rare foreigners on the list of individuals awarded the Order by the Japanese Government this time.
Accordingly, the Japanese government has conferred the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun on Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, former Chairwoman of Vietnam’s National Assembly, in recognition of her significant contributions to the bilateral ties between Japan and Vietnam.
Former Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star./.
