As many of 80 caricatures towards the East sea by 35 painters are on display at an exhibition which opened at the Exhibition House at 16 Ngo Quyen street, Hanoi on June 30.
These caricatures were selected among 198 works by 48 painters which sent to a caricature contest.
The Chinese-run Haiyang Shiyou 981 drilling rig, the cow’s tongue line or nine-dash line, and China’s dream of global hegemony are the subjects of the exhibition.
“The caricatures offer a clear insight into China’s ambition of seizing the entire East Vietnam Sea under the guise of their seemingly peaceful statements,” local artist Ly Truc Dung talked about event.
The exhibition will run until July 7.
