The supplies include tools used in first-aid and a diverse range of medicines that can help relieve illnesses and discomfort from diseases specific to the fishing industry.

As part of the Government’s target to provide healthcare knowledge for every person employed on a vessel or frame-houses by 2020, the health sector has recently launched a program highlighting its assistance for fishermen at sea. Under the program, the sector will call on its staff, enterprises, organizations and individuals in society to contribute capital to provide medicine for offshore fishermen, while the authorised agencies of the sector will be providing training courses on first-aid to fishermen.

In the near future, the Health Ministry and authorised agencies will increase human resources and medical equipment at medical stations at Ly Son island district, as well as rescue centers in Da Nang city./.
