Exhibition on Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes opens in Viet Tri city

A map and document exhibit showing Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes opened in Viet Tri city, the northern midland province of Phu Tho on August 25.
The exhibition is being held by Phu Tho provincial Department of Information and Communications.
On display are a wide range of ancient maps and atlases, and documents in traditional Chinese, Vietnamese and French languages issued by Vietnamese feudal states and a French researcher from the 15th to the 20th century. All declare Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagoes.
Photos and documents about visits by Phu Tho provincial delegations to cadres and soldiers who are on duty at Truong Sa archipelagos and activities to support the programme for beloved sea and island launched by Phu Tho provincial Fatherland Front in 2014 were also introduced at the event.
The exhibition will run until August 27./.
