Through offshore activities, the fishermen are expected to help disseminate the Party guidelines and State laws while reinforcing solidarity in offshore fishing and supporting each other in natural disasters and enemy-inflicted destruction.
After its establishment, the Golden Heart Fund of Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper handed over VND1 billion collected from people across the country to assist fishermen in the province while the provincial trade union earmarked VND270 million to give support for disadvantaged fishermen and vessel owners who had accidents at sea.
