Central province gives VND408 billion in assistance for fishermen’s shipbuilding

The People’s Committee of the central province of Quang Ngai has issued a decision adopting a loan of almost VND408 billion to build 40 new high capacity fishing vessels.

This is the first phase of assistance this year to be carried out in Quang Ngai province based on the Government’s Decree 67 on policies to boost fisheries development.
Accordingly, each vessel will cost between VND4.5 billion to over VND23 billion.
Of 40 vessels in total, 37 ones will be built for fishing and the other 3 for logistics services. In terms of material, they include 15 steel vessels, 2 composite vessels and 23 wooden vessels.
The support will be given to Binh Son district to build 19 vessels, Ly Son district 5 vessels, Duc Pho district 13 vessels and Quang Ngai city 3 vessels.
The largest vessel costing over VND23 billion will provide logistics services and managed by the Ly Son Fisheries Joint-Stock Company./.
