The constructions will include 44-kilometre of undersea lines, two transformer stations, over 53 kilometres of middle-voltage overhead power lines, and nearly 38 kilometres of middle-voltage underground cable.

In addition, the project will provide over 36 kilometres of submerged middle-voltage electricity network, 45.5 kilometres of low-voltage system for over 6,800 families on the islands .

When complete, thousands of families on the islands will be linked to the national grid, vastly improving the standard of living for those in the localities. The "hook-up" will help to effectively promote fishery economy and tourism development. The national grid is also expected to raise islanders’ spiritual and material lives while helping to attract greater number of tourists to the islands and improve coastal social environment.

Earlier, EVN put into operation two power supply projects in Phu Quoc and Hon Tre islands – the administrative centre in Kien Hai district./.
