Vietnam Coast Guard: For the peace at sea and on islands

The Vietnam Coast Guard was established on August 28th, 1998. Over the past 17 years, coast guard soldiers have joined other forces to effectively protect the Vietnamese sea and islands. Apart from patrolling at sea, the forces have also participated in rescue work, protecting fishermen from pirates, struggling with smuggling at sea and contributing to maintaining peace at sea and islands.
