Central province gives support to fishermen facing risks at sea

The fishermen's fund and the fisheries society in the central province of Quang Ngai has recently handed over an amount of money as support for fishermen who suffered losses during production at sea.

According, the provincial fishermen's fund has assisted with a donation of VND4.3 billion for the building of new vessels for 7 fishermen whose fishing vessels were shot and sunk, lost or seized by foreign vessels.

Meanwhile, the provincial fisheries society has supported 9 boatmen who met challenging conditions to overcome with VND114 million.

The activity aimed to encourage fishermen to continue to go fishing as a way to improve their standard of living and contribute to boost local socio-economic development and protect the nation’s sea and island sovereignty./.
