Some USD12 million giving safe water to central province’s island

The Prime Minister has adopted a project using non-refundable official development assistance (ODA) from the Government of the Republic of Korea which will provide safe water to Ly Son island district in the central province of Quang Ngai.
The project aims to provide safe water to An Vinh and An Hai communes, improve both the access to and the quality of the water as well as assisting local residents’ production by providing machine and equipment system.
It is also expected to raise residents’ standard of living and help introduce a sustainable livelihood for families, especially those living on or near the poverty line.
With a total capital of USD12 million, including USD10.8 million from the non-refundable ODA funding from the Korean Government and USD1.2 million as reciprocal capital from the Vietnamese Government, the project will be completed within 3 years./.
