1,000 Chung cakes and Tet gifts presented to officials and soldiers, people on Truong Sa island

The event aims to encourage officials, soldiers and people on duty to protect the nation in border regions and islands on the occasion of the Year of Monkey 2016 and in response to the program “Border Spring - Island Tet” 2016, launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Dang Ninh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, presented 1,000 Chung cakes and Tet gifts with the total value of VND100 million to officials, soldiers and people on Truong Sa island.

On this occasion, the Hoang Son Investment, Energy, Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company also offered VND20 million.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Dang Ninh wished officials, soldiers and people on Truong Sa island a warm and happy New Year and he hoped the officials, soldiers and people on Truong Sa island would be united, overcome all difficulties and challenges, alert and ready to fight, as well as build the island district to have strong defence, good lifestyle, beautiful landscape and environment and exemplary relations between military and people./.
