On August 17, an additional 89 Vietnamese labourers’ returned home safely from an unstable Libya, reported the Overseas Labourers Management Department under the Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs.

According to the department, these were labourers leaving the Tripoli war zone in Libya. Earlier, in early 2013, the group of labourers went to work in Libya through Vietnamese enterprises.
In addition, 38 others, in two groups, left Libya and returned home from Tunisia and Egypt on August 18.
As of August 16, nearly 1,300 Vietnamese labourers had returned home safely. In the next 2 weeks, the remaining labourers are expected to come home by commercial flights./.
