Quang Ngai province: Marine communications devices provided for fishermen

Each fishing vessel owner received a device, worth more than VND12.4 million.

Together with fishermen in Mo Duc and Duc Pho districts, 20 fishermen in Quang Ngai city and 10 others in Ly Son island district will also be given 30 devices.

The devices, worth a total of more than VND811 million, were bought with capital raised in the program “Linking the East Sea” launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee and relevant agencies to encourage assistance from agencies and individuals.

According to Le Truong Son, Deputy Chairman of the Quang Ngai provincial Red Cross, with these devices, fishing vessels at sea can contact each other and contact authorized agencies more easily in case of problems./.
