Fishermen in Phu Yen province presented 1,000 national flags

These fishermen usually go fishing around Vietnam’s Spratly and Paracel islands and the national flags are an indispensable instrument on their vessels.

According to Nguyen Thi Thu Van, President of the provincial Confederation of Labor, the national flags for fishermen operating at the Spratly and Paracel Islands will be great encouragement, expressing that the mainland always looked towards the sea and islands, as well as fishermen who bravely go out fishing and confirm the nation’s sea and island sovereignty.

Phu Yen province has 113 fishing vessel teams, more than 1,000 fishing vessels with capacity of at least 90 CV, and six fisheries societies with more than 700 members./.
