Over 200 students provided free health check ups and medicine

More than 200 students from Dao Tru poor commune, Tam Dao district, the northern province of Vinh Phuc, have received free health check-ups and treatment on the occasion of the 85th founding anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
The event was held by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Red Cross in coordination with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the National Hospital of Paediatrics and Vinh Phuc provincial Red Cross.
Several students suffering from serious diseases were referred to specialised hospitals for timely treatment.

Students were also instructed on how to do individual hygiene to prevent transmissible diseases by correct hand-washing, tooth and mouth hygiene, and conservation of the surrounding environment.
Dao Tru is one of the poorest communes in Tam Dao district, with 15,158 people. San Diu ethnic minority people account for 87.5% of the population. Local people face many difficulties in daily life, including a lack of facilities to take care of people’s health./.
