Hanoi locality collects voters’ ideas on NA and People’s Council deputy candidates

Two candidates, General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member, member of the Standing Board of the Central Military Party Committee and Head of the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People’s Army; and Bui Thanh Son, Party Central Committee member and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the event. 

Addressing the meeting, General Ngo Xuan Lich recognised voters’ ideas towards himself and his family, confirming that he would raise their high sense of responsibility ahead of the Party and people, and do his utmost to deserve voters’ trust and aspiration.

Regarding the task of national safeguarding, the general stressed the Party viewpoint in consistently struggling to maintain national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity while keeping a peaceful and stable environment for national development, addressing disputes with peaceful measures in line with international laws.

“In all circumstances, the Vietnam People’s Army is willing to struggle for national protection to deserve people’s trust,” he said.

Reviewing the general’s activities as a NA deputy in the 13th term, voters said that he had maintained regular meetings with voters, listening to and fully reflecting voters’ aspiration at the NA and authorised agencies, thus tackling people’s difficulties and helping to reinforce voters’ trust in the Party leadership and the State management.

Voters expressed their hope that NA deputies at the 14th NA would continue to listen to voters’ ideas at the grassroots level, and work with the NA and authorised agencies to issue accurate policies for national development and for successful realization of the 12th National Party Congress resolution./.
